Our Give Some Green Donations Go To…

The season of giving is upon us, but here at Hello Bistro, we believe that giving back should happen all year long! Thanks to our Give Some Green program, we’re helping our neighbors in need 366 days a year! (#LeapDay2020)

Here’s how it works… YOU order one of our Signature Salads (like our BBQ Chicken Salad) and WE donate produce to our local food bank! Because of you, our wonderful guests, we’ve donated a total of 26,917 pounds of produce THIS YEAR!

All our produce donations go directly to the local food bank in the community where our restaurants reside. Since our Hello Bistro footprint covers a lot of ground, there are four different food banks that benefit from our program:

Pittsburgh Food Bank
All of the produce donations from our Pittsburgh area locations go directly to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank for their Produce to People program. Every month through this program, 8,000 households receive 30-50 pounds of fresh produce.

Plus, every quarter, our volunteers help distribute the produce at the Food Bank’s Duquesne headquarters, so they can see firsthand how our donation is making a difference.

State College Food Bank
The produce donations from our new State College location goes to benefit our friends at the State College Food Bank. We’re so glad to help them with their mission to provide food security, directly or indirectly, to people in Centre County.

Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank
Our upcoming Summit Mall location will help the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank, who provides food and other essential items to member hunger-relief programs in eight Northeast Ohio counties. These member programs operate nearly 500 food pantries, hot meal sites, shelters and other hunger-relief programs in the neighborhoods and communities where people need food.

Cleveland Food Bank
All of the produce donations from our Beachwood location goes to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to help support their children’s nutrition initiative. This programming allows the food bank to provide children with food to take home over the weekend and during the summer, when they have limited or no access to the school lunch program.

Want to know what else we've been up to?
